Old School Resurrection

After a certain amount of prompting and attempts to avoid writing my essay I have resurrected some old galleries that got lost when andresworld was changed over to its new sexy mature brown guise. Three main galleries of note are German Christmas Markets Trip, Becky’s Party and Glasto 2003.

The German Christmas Markets Trip gallery also includes some photos of a random trip down to the canal when I think Hannah and Angela drank all my homebrew when I went off to get paper to make a fire. When I got back they were pole dancing. ‘Nuff said. The Becky’s Party gallery includes photos of one of her house parties as well as some random photos of Duncan posing with his bass guitar and some ickle year seven photos of various Chellaston boys and girls. Finally, Glasto 2003 includes a few webcam shots of Jam, my dad and I from the Leftfield tent.

All this digging led me to also dig out the legendary Punk in Drublic CD by [I quote] “Dré and Dunc Live @ Becky’s Party”. It is however, truly horrendous. Its proof that I can neither drum or sing and given that most of the tracks are played by Duncan, obviously not trusted with a guitar either. The following are a few samples of songs I think Duncan and I either wrote of made up on the spot, however Duncan was going through his Blink 182 phase and at times I’m not sure whether it’s their dirty lyrics or Duncan’s foul mouth.

[by far the track of the night, lovely vocal harmonies]

Oh to be drunk and 15 (?) again. It makes me cringe.

Derby Meets Manchester

Last night saw the meeting of two worlds… Well it wasn’t that dramatic. I’ve uploaded the photos and videos from yesterday evenings debauchery. Tom, Wolfman, Sarah, Jennie, Serin and I started of at The Metropolitan in West Didsbury before catching a cab to Deansgate Locks where we lounged in Loaf, danced in Arq and mingled with all the beautiful people whilst sipping champagne [gracias senior Breese] in the Sugar Lounge VIP area.

I left, but the others soon followed, to see Fabio, Marcus Intalex and Calibre at Club Academy where I met Claudio and his mates Binno, Harry, Nadia and Sarah. I went pretty mental, was accused of being on pills again – but then that was hardly a surprise given the state of my t-shirt. It was a light grey t-shirt to start with, but after three hours of pretty much non-stop dancing it soon became a dark grey t-shirt; keep an eye out in the photos as my t-shirt gets progressively darker.

To finish it all off Claudio, Binno and I headed for the legendry Khans where Claudio indulged in some filthy ‘horse face meat’ donner, Binno had a garlic bread with cheese and mushrooms, and of course I engaged with an obligatory chip naan. You can catch it all in one of the videos that night.

DreFest Photos Uploaded

I’m finally getting round to sorting all the stuff out from this summer. First up are the drefest 2006 photos. Just me and the lads with a brief visit from Rosie and The Kooks.

DreFest is but is not

Continuing the Heraclitusian theme I am announcing that DreFest both is and is not to happen this Saturday/Sunday. I shall still be in my garden this Saturday with a tent, music, BBQ, bonfire and a barrel of IPA and everyone is more than welcome to join me for a bit of a ‘sesh’. However after a number of cancelations and apologies for absence [for a whole host of reasons] it will be slightly less of the fest but still the same amount of Dre.

I look forward to seeing those who can make it and those that can’t, given that I am away for six weeks from Wedneday, 2nd August, I shall see you at Christmas.
